Specialized Options: Single-line Phones
Note: Stanford telephones are not automatically configured with access to all of these system features. If you find that you cannot access a feature using the instructions on these pages, contact your Department IT Contact about upgrading your telephone’s Service Level Package.
Caller ID - Provides capability for set to view the caller's telephone number before answering the call.
Call Forward Alert (CFA) - Provides capability for set to let you know when a single-line telephone is forwarded to another number or to voice mail.
Calling Name Display - Provides capability for set to display the name of the Stanford person calling, or the Stanford person being called.
Custom Announcement on Hold - Provides capability for set to access a unique audio announcement source when calls are placed on hold.
Music on Hold/Music on Transfer - Provides capability for set to access an audio music source when calls are placed on hold.
Off Facility Forwarding (OFF) - Provides capability for set to reroute incoming business calls to off-campus locations within the local area.
Simultaneous Ring (SimRing) - Provides capability for set to allow a pre-defined group of up to 5 on-campus DNs (directory numbers) to ring simultaneously when a specified telephone number is called.
Disconnect Referral - Specified when you request disconnection, this option provides capability for set to allow telephone system to transfer callers dialing a disconnected telephone number to either a different line or a voice mailbox.
