I suppose, in this company, it's not saying much to claim that I am passionate about learning, nor that I love designing. I bring these qualities to the class but are they something I add? Maybe.
What I can add is my outlook. It has been my experience in life that my perceptions tend to be, well, unique. Not necesserily good or bad, but definitely of my own flavor. I see things from left field. However, I can also (when I remember to try) make a decent effort to see things from the point of view of someone else. So I bring a little empathy and this, I think, IS something I can add.
I also have excellent taste.
I want to leave this course understanding when the best time to use a learning space is, i.e. what skills / subjects / components of instruction are best 'offloaded' to the space, what is not well handled in the space, what role does the space play in a learning environment?
