Need:
We are planning to develop a learning space that meets two primary needs. The first is to maintain and spread current and historical korean Culture. Secondarily, the spaces and activities that we design will focus on developing community in an international city that is 10% Korean and 90% international residents

Approach:
- space in the cultural center that helps people begin on their cultural journey
- cell phone guided scavenger hunt around the city
- an alternative to the cell phone guided scavenger hunt would be: visitors get a small disposable digital camera then follow a guided tour around the city taking pictures. at the end of the day they return to the cultural center where the turn in their camera and their pictures are made into an album which they can take with them. Album would have captions with pictures that has a description of the cultural importance of the location. This could also be done in conjunction with the scavenger hunt.
- meeting with and talking to local business people

Benefits:
- Bolstering Korean Culture will draw people to the city
- creating a cultural experiences that requires people to interact and talk with one another will help to develop community
- local shopowners and other people who work in establishment will welcome the increased publicity that this project will bring, and be willing to talk with the people who come looking for answers
- if the visitor leaves with a photo album there will be a chance for long term learning as they will be able to refer back to it later

Competition:
- There is a lot of information accessible through a cell phone so in order for this info to be effective it will need to be easily accessible and interesting for the consumer.
- there are many attractions that will draw visitors so inorder for this one to be effective we will nee to design it well and market it well
- Hopefully this project will be able to be designed to incorporate many of the cultural experiences of the city because it if does not then it will have to compete for resources\\
