Rationale: The population of a new, modern city requires the consumption of many resources. Thus, it is important for the city to educate its residents and vistors of the importance of conservation and promoting a sustabnable lifestyle.

Application: Recycling collection containers can be placed around the city, each displaying a rotating fact about recyling. For instance, a container can list a factoid about the number of trees that are needed to create the local newspaper for one day. Another idea is to combine lessons in eco-friendly farming and fishing from the aquarium and museum and carry it out to the local supermarket. For example, visitors to a local supermarket will see signs about how the seafood is harvested in a sustainable way and have a reference to go visit the local aquarium for more information.
