Public Health Partners

In addition to publishing a biannual journal, the Stanford Journal of Public Health strives to integrate different public health efforts across campus into a centralized hub of engaged scholarship. We are very interested in working with other established organizations on campus to bring together different resources and grow the public health community, and hope to further generate excitement about public health and the issues that surround it. We are proud to partner with the following public health organizations at Stanford and are always welcome to adding more organizations; if you have an organization you’d like to suggest, please email us by filling out the contact form on the website.

The Stanford Journal of Public Health was made possible with support from The Bingham Fund for Student Innovation in Human Biology ASSU Publications Board Haas Center for Public Service.

Stanford Human Biology Department

The Program in Human Biology is an interschool, interdepartmental, undergraduate major. The program’s mission is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the human being from biological, behavioral, social, and cultural perspectives. The curriculum provides a broad and rigorous introduction to the biological and behavioral sciences and their interrelationships, and explores how this knowledge, in conjunction with studies in other fields, can be applied to formulate and evaluate health, environmental, and other public policies that influence human welfare.

Stanford Office of Community Health

The Office of Community Health is the home in the School of Medicine for informed, committed, and sustained community engagement in local health issues. We are developing an innovative national model to train future leaders in community health, disseminate community health scholarship, and enhance local health via community-academic partnerships.
