Tom Quach
Tom Quach

Tom Quach, Editor-in-Chief

Tom Quach is a rising junior at Stanford University, born and raised in San Francisco, CA. Interested in the intersection of public health, technology, and community entrepreneurship, Tom seeks to expand his passions through both a biochemical and socio-cultural understanding. Currently, Tom performs research at Stanford’s Post Acute COVID (PACS) Clinic, and loves to spend time with his family, friends, and dog during his free time.

Anoushka Rao
Anoushka Rao

Anoushka Rao, Executive Editor of Exploration & Innovation

Anoushka is a junior at Stanford majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and Clinical Ethics. She is extremely passionate about investigating the mechanisms by which biases in society perpetuate healthcare inequities, especially for refugees and asylum seekers.  In the future, she hopes to be involved in pro bono humanitarian aid missions as a physician surgeon. Apart from her love for medicine and public health, Anoushka loves to discover new coffee shops, go to stand-up comedy shows with her friends, and watch pretty sunsets.

Eshaan Rawat, Executive Editor of Exploration & Innovation

Eshaan Rawat is a junior at Stanford University studying chemical engineering. He is interested in applications of engineering in medical and biological research, and does research in the Abu-Remaileh Lab. In his free time, he loves to play percussion in various orchestral groups, play video games with friends, and take naps.
Ishita Verma
Ishita Verma

Ishita Verma, Executive Editor of Exploration & Innovation

Ishita Verma is a sophomore from San Jose, California, and is a prospective biology major. She loves research and has been working at a Helms Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery lab investigating cleft palate repair. She also loves podcasting and is an intern for Stanford Medcast, where she plans and edits episodes. She is interested in health disparities and access. In her free time, Ishita loves to read, bake, and go on long drives.

Ben Limric, Executive Editor of Governance

Ben is a junior double majoring in public policy and music composition. A participant in Stanford in Government and a member of the Democracy Day Coordinating Committee, Ben is very excited to engage in policy discussions surrounding public health. Outside of school, Ben enjoys performing on the piano, reading comic books, exploring the great outdoors, and playing video games with friends.

Sabian Jesus Polanco, Executive Editor of Governance

Sabian Jesus Polanco is a junior at Stanford University from Miami, FL studying Political Science and History. He is interested in U.S history, public policy, public health, and law and how these different disciplines interact. In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, girlfriend, and friends, and loves the vibrant diverse community at Stanford. 

 

Sophia Nesamoney

Sophia Nesamoney, Executive Editor of Reflections

Sophia is a senior from the Bay Area majoring in human biology and minoring in creative writing. She is particularly interested in virology and global health and has conducted research at the intersection of gender and infectious diseases. Outside of school, she is writing a novel that explores the experiences of children orphaned by a smallpox outbreak and has also published several children’s books about topics like clean water, COVID-19, and climate change.
