Create an awareness flyer that describes your project.
Tell the objectives and steps you plan to take, using bulleted phrases and graphics.

Use quality paper and a Center letterhead, making the flyer fit in a standard envelope.

Tell who to contact for further information, and repeat address and phone number.


Show your work at open-house invitational meetings with manufacturers or their representatives.
Be sure that the prototype or demo is working!.

Explain performance features and user reactions.

Describe present plans for completion and assumptions about licensing, if known.

Provide a "walk-away" handout


Make contributions to a periodic "Product Alert Newsletter," which could be sent by the Center to a select mailing list of interested manufacturers and others.
Keep the Transfer Officer informed about changes in the status of your project that might trigger an announcement in the Product Alert Newsletter.


Build a network of contacts among clinical and consumer groups.
Use the telephone to keep in touch with the set of key leaders in clinical and consumer groups who would need (eventually) to be informed about the availability of the product (in turn, they will often generate interest on the part of their supplier and thus from a manufacturer).
