Horse Medicine consist of lectures and slide shows given by Dr. Sherril Green followed by discussion of the reading assignments and study guide questions. A visit to Webb Ranch to review the basic physical examination and neurological examination of equine patients will take place on a Saturday morning during this course, by special arrangement. The emphasis of this course will be on a problem-oriented approach to horse medicine and will include topics ranging from equine colic to infectious diseases. The objective is to provide the class participants with exposure to common equine veterinary medical problems. Class meets in the Veterinary Service Center on Tuesdays from noon to 1:20 pm.
