STANFORD EES: CEE 277E summer 2010
Brief Overview
This course will explore the area of environmental informatics: the storage, processing and flow of information collected from or modeled after environmental systems. The primary course objective will be to scope the field, and survey frameworks and emerging developments. We will examine the compatibility of existing environmental datasets with current technologies, and identify processes to deal with challenges in this field such as data gaps, performance and scaling. The optional laboratory portion of the course will have an innovation component comprising brainstorming and prototyping.
