At NYU, I principally worked on developing new research activities on decision-making and metacognition with Jonathan Cohen and Devin Thornburg (IDEA project), and new studies of learning with diagrams (Dynagrams Project) and with multimedia composing and research environments (MediaWorks). The latter two projects were funded when I moved to IRL

In 1986-87. I also taught at Harvard's Graduate School of Education as a Schumann Fellow, and worked with Jim Kaput's group on his first environments for interactive mathematics learning environments.
