These are the images of Merlie arriving with breakfast at about 08:30 on 14 March 2002.

The Merlin (Falco columbarius columbarius) was imaged at a slant range of 86 meters.

The camera was a Canon Xl1 Digital Video (DV) Camera with a 16x zoom lens, a Canon Extender XL 1.6 (back of the lens) , and a Century Precision Optics VS-16TC-XL 1.6X Tele-Converter (in front of the lens). The equivalent power of the zoom lens and the two extenders is 16 x 1.6 x 1.6 = 41 at maximum zoom.
