DIADEM is a convenient interface to the DIPPR^® 801 Database that enhances one’s ability to view, calculate, plot and compare the thermophysical properties in the database.

Why waste your time in the tedious data search and evaluation process? Leave it to the experts! Physical property experts from academia and industry spend thousands of hours every year gathering, evaluating, and making recommendations for 49 physical properties for over 2,000 chemical compounds. They assign error codes so you can know how accurate their recommendation is and provide references for all information so in case you still want to do your own research, you’ll have a good starting point. All of this is available in a convenient electronic database (MS Access) format. Even if you aren’t well-versed in MS Access or SQL, obtaining the physical property information you need from the DIPPR 801 database is simple with the DIADEM software. DIADEM is a highly functional interface and data analysis tool that allows quick data search, retrieval, organization, and graphical property comparison of various compounds.

Mac (and PC users) will be able to access this software on-campus or off-campus via CDSERVER, which uses a web browser and a Citrix plug-in. CDSERVER is not compatible with Vista. Swain will also have the software loaded on most computers (all except
three “public kiosk” computers).

Five concurrent users are also able to access the DIPPR Database via a web interface.
