NYAS Science Alliance Program for Graduate Students and Postdocs

Science Alliance

Stanford’s Falconer Biology Library and Swain Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Library are proud to announce that we are continuing our partnership with the New York Academy of Sciences. We will support a free membership for grad students and postdocs in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering. To join or renew, please go to the New York Academy of Science’s Stanford page and complete the registration form.

In addition, this agreement provides a year-long print subscription to Nature! There is no better way to stay abreast of the best science than to have the magazine come to your mailbox.

Your NYAS membership benefits will include:

  1. Career development and networking resources geared towards students and post-docs through the Science Alliance program.
  2. Subscription to the Science Alliance newsletter, a monthly news announcement highlighting articles on career development and scientific topics, new podcasts from the Academy, and interesting things happening in the science community.
  3. Free access to the 400+ Academy eBriefings which provide complete, multimedia reports of Academy meetings and conferences — when you can’t physically be there.
  4. Free access to Annals Online, a database of downloadable scientific articles and reviews from the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences.
  5. 80% savings on the purchase of in print Annals volumes.
  6. Free access to Academy meetings and reduced registration fees on conferences.
  7. Free access to the Update, the Academy’s monthly magazine, both in print and online.

The membership sign-up process is simple. Go to the New York Academy of Science’s Stanford page, to complete the registration form. You will receive a username and temporary password for online access, and a membership card and other Academy information.

We hope you take advantage of these resources and give us feedback about its value.
