Well this one wasn't too bad once I had my NFS up and with Scott's help.  I pretty much followed his directions to a T.  I used the caspax kernel which I already had up and running.  I just took his bitbake image dsp-console-image.bb and bitbaked it (after I ran bitbake task-gstreamer-ti).  Once the image booted I verified (with lsmod) that the cmemk (and others) module was loaded.

Once I had that up and running I did a quick test using some scripts found here to test whether I could actually use the camera, compress the video using the different codecs and view it.  It was nice having the NFS because I could just open the file in my VMware console instead of having to read it off the SD card.  Things looked good so I moved on to trying to stream video using gstreamer and UDP.
