This is a senior level capstone course for Mechanical Engineering majors. The objective is to have students apply their accumulated knowledge and skills to a real-world design problem. Students work in teams, with a teaching coach and industrial sponsor. Each team goes through an entire design process from problem definition through working prototype. This year most of the projects will be related to automobiles with emphasis on energy efficiency and on designing beyond the norm to meet the needs of all people.
