On Wensday Oct. ye 20th. 1714. King George was

Crowned in Westminster Abby, with all

ye usuall ceremonies, & with Great joy.

& this day was as fine a day as could possibly

be for ye time of year, ye weather was mil’d

& warm, little wind & ye Sun Shined from

rising to Setting, with little or next to

no intermission. ye night proved also

bright Star light till past 12 of ye Clock.

what is remarkable is, ye day before this

was a very rainy day & and so was ye Night, &

ye weather Seem’d to be set in for rain.

when about Six in ye Morning it clear’d

up & ye 20th. oct. proved as fine a day as

could possibly be. ye day following ye

rainy weather return’d again & was

a very rainy day, & Some others after.

so I say it is remarkable, yt. ye 20th. Should

prove So fine a day, when So many
