Research Assistant

Tucker obtained his BS in Chemistry at Stanford University. During his undergrad, he interned under Justin Smith and Kevin Roy, starting in 2016, and is currently working as a research assistant. Throughout his time at the Stanford Genome Technology Center, he has compared the editing efficiencies of different high fidelity variants of Cas9, as well as working on creating barcoded natural variant libraries in yeast. He is currently working on improving and optimizing technologies for multiplex precision editing generally, including incorporating alternative CRISPR nucleases.
