STATE CODE CAPTIONS
Some state codes are very complicated and have been entered online inconsistently at times. Be sure to take the information from the title page and not the cover or spine.
Here are some examples from the Pennsylvania code that may help:
- Single title, complete in one volume. TDD D 1930|zTIT.25
- One title with sections. Use when the title is divided into more than one volume: TDD D 1930|zTIT.40:SECT.1/1010
TDD D 1930|zTIT.40:SECT.1011/END - One title with sections. Use when the title is divided into more than one volume: TDD D 1930|zTIT.40:SECT.1/1010
TDD D 1930|zTIT.40:SECT.1011/END - Two titles complete in one volume: TDD D 1930|zTIT.20/21
- Two titles complete, second continues into the next volume: TDD D 1930|zTIT.40/41:SECT.1/500
- Two titles, first completed from previous volume, second title complete: TDD D 1930|zTIT.41:SECT.501/END/TIT.42
- Two titles, first completed from previous volume (i.e. SECT.501/END), the second continuing to next volume: TDD D 1930|zTIT.41:SECT.501/END/TIT.42:SECT.1/711
