Iranian Blogs Project

The Internet Archive is featuring Stanford's Iranian Blogs collection this month. This project, led by John Eilts, Curator of the library's Middle East Collection, has been archiving Iranian blogs since March 2008.

The tool being used for this project is called Archive-It which allows libraries to harvest and preserve born digital content and make the content searchable. The Social Science Resource group in the library has also been using Archive-It to collect various born digital collections including Freedom of Information (FOIA), Climate change and environmental policy, Bay Area Governments, Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports, Education Research Institutes and California Department of Education Curriculum and Instruction. Please check them out. Also, please let us know if there are any sites that you'd like us to collect and preserve.
