Discussion Session on the Popular Uprising in Egypt

Stanford University Professors Joel Beinin, Lisa Blaydes, and Robert Crews will be holding a discussion session on the current uprising in Egypt this Monday (tomorrow) at 12pm. Dr. Beinin is currently the Donald J. McLachan Professor of History and Professor of Middle Eastern History at Stanford University. His research focuses on workers, peasants, and minorities in the modern Middle East and on Israel, Palestine, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Dr. Blaydes is currently an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Stanford University. Her research focuses on comparative politics, Middle Eastern politics, and political economy. Acting as mediator will be Dr. Crews, an Associate Professor of History and Director of the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies at Stanford University.
