Faculty members in the School of Education have voted to make all of their articles freely available on an open access platform. The force behind this movement is Professor John M. Willinsky who has been working on this issue for a long time, and is the driving force behind the public knowledge project.

The Stanford Libraries have sponsored a podcast in the New York Academy of Science's Science in the City series, featuring interviews with the curators of the exhibit Buckminster Fuller: Starting with the Universe. That exhibit is also sponsored by the Stanford Libraries, and features a number of items from our collections.

Adam Johnson and Tom Kealey, two instructors of Stanford Creative Writing Program, orchestrated the production of a graphic novel called Shake Girl with their students. Shake Girl is a massive collaborative project between fifteen students and the instructors over the course of Winter quarter(2008).
