Research Statement:

I am part of the FRG team working on the development of a high-fidelity multidisciplinary computational framework for parachute inflation dynamics and drag prediction in the supersonic flow regime. My current focus is on the mathematical refinement of FIVER and its extension to fluid-structure interaction problems with porous material interfaces. The main application is the deceleration of a spacecraft from the high speed of atmospheric entry to the final stages of landing on Mars.
