Managing contact information collected through Drupal sites is a challenge for most site builders. Until recently, it has typically involved integrated 3rd party solutions or expensive custom buildouts.

CRM Core is a set of modules for managing contact information within Drupal sites. It provides sophisticated tools for managing contacts, activities and relationships, and is designed to act as a platform for leveraging Drupal's functionality in building relationships.

The idea driving it's development is that small, useful applications built on top of a rock-solid set of contact management tools will provide site builders with a vehicle for efficiently creating small, useful applications for interacting with contacts that go beyond what most commerical solutions are capable of.

This session will introduce CRM Core and provide practical examples of it's use, showcasing systems that use it to:

* Managing student records and activities within systems
* Processing donations and volunteer applications
* Reserving rooms and facilities
* Tracking the details of interaction between users and a website
* Creating customized reports that dig in on details of interaction.
