One of our core goals of research is to find out what is it that designers do when designers do design. Design Theory and Methodology Studio provides for the investigation of the design process by observing teams of designers in situ. Studies focus on team dynamics, leadership, design spaces, and collaboration technology for knowledge management, sharing, and re-use. With a focus on globally distributed design/development teams, we seek to develop objective measures of design team performance, under various structured methodology conditions and using a variety of computational tools.
