This directory contains tunes which have been converted from
BMW format to bagpipe.tex format by bmw2tex.
The source of the BMW for the conversion was David Williams' site:

where there is a table of contents.
Some of the tunes in this collection are not included 
here due to uncertainties about their copyright status.
A few others because they had errors whose correction
was ambiguous, or they used custom codes. 
Still others may have been added since this conversion was done.

bmw2tex does not add information that is not in the BMW source. 
For example, it does not generate sloped beams or differentiate
between part endings and final endings. It also does not
adjust the spacing. For example, most strathspeys will have 
overfull hboxes when TeXed.

There are a small number of items which BMW does 
that MusicTeX does not. bmw2tex makes reasonable substitutions. 

Not all of these files have been checked to see that they
will TeX. If you find errors (other than overfull hboxes)
