Jane Woodward

Biography

Jane Woodward Jane Woodward a founder and CEO of MAP, an investment firm firm that forms and manages natural gas and wind energy royalty partnerships. Ms. Woodard is also a Consulting Associate Professor in Stanford University's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Jane has been teaching classes on energy and environment at Stanford since 1991, and currently teaches Energy Resources every Fall quarter [CEE 173A/207A and Earth Systems 103], and China Energy Systems every other year [CEE 176F/276F].

MAP funds a variety of sustainable energy education initiatives largely benefiting Stanford students.

Prior to founding MAP, Jane worked as an exploration geologist with ARCO Exploration Company and later as a petroleum-engineering consultant. She holds a BA in geology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, an holds an MS in engineering and petroleum geology and an MBA, both from Stanford University.  Jane serves on the Advisory Councils for Stanford's Precourt Institute for Energy and the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy; and she serves as a Trustee Associate of the AAPG Foundation.
