One of the representive shorebirds along the Pacific shore, Avocet is a beauty. They can be seen all year around and nest along the marshland in the West coast. The most interesting feature of this elegand bird is its upward bill, which it uses to swept horizontally through the water to catch aquatic prey. In summer, its face and neck change to a rich tea-color, only makes it more exotic.
