Vinith Misra is a graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Stanford University's Department of Electrical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Tsachy Weissman. His research interests, which include information theory, machine learning, and signal processing, are often located at the intersection of theory and practice. He is a recipient of the Stanford Graduate Fellowship, the National Science and Defense Graduate Fellowship, and MIT's David Adler Memorial Thesis Prize.
