I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.

My research with Prof. Bernd Girod is in the area of content based image retrieval. My broad research interests are computer vision, machine learning and applications of distributed source coding.

I am currently involved in the Mobile Augmented Reality project with Nokia Research Center, Palo Alto.

I completed the IMB (Integrated Masters Bachelors) program in Electrical Engineering, with distinction, from Carnegie Mellon University in June 2005.

Prior to starting my Ph.D., I was working as a Research Engineer at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore from July 2005-July 2006.

Past research projects I have contributed to are:
  • Developed algorithms for wireless sensor networks at I2R.
  • Designed and implemented a Software Defined Radio (SDR).
