Welcome to my website!
I'm a final year Ph.D candidate at the Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory at Stanford University. My research involves developing a state of the art hydrodynamic model to study exchange flows in San Francisco Bay, and climate change impacts on water resources in the state of California. I am advised in my thesis research by Prof. Oliver Fringer, and am a member of the SUNTANS research group. In 2008, I was awarded the Singapore National Research Foundation (EWT) Ph.D scholarship.
I am interested in communicating science to the public, and enjoy being involved in efforts to increase awareness of our green footprint. As a consultant for the Exploratorium Science Museum in San Francisco, I am part of a team that designed and implemented the centerpiece exhibit at the Outdoor Explororium. In 2009, I co-founded the GreenHero, a website to foster sustainable business practices and encourage green actions at the workplace.
