The greeting in multiple languages reflect a part of who I am - my love for travel, learning and a curiosity about our world.

"Howdy" is a typical greeting in the South, where I spent three memorable years attending college. I studied Chinese literature in high school, and was in the Chinese Orchestra for four years playing the erhu (chinese violin). I also spent some time in Metz (a historic city in northeast France) immersing in European culture, art and French which has to be the most romantic language! I enjoy golf and playing the piano in my free time.

I'm in the midst of my scholastic journey at Stanford University where I hope to gain an understanding of climate change and exchange between ocean and estuaries. I'm a fifth year Ph.D student in the Environmental Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, and enjoying every bit of my time learning about turbulence and stratification!
