Climbing

Here are some climbing pictures, there will be more here, and hopefully we can put thumbnails rather than silly arcane filenames. (BTW, by the terse nature of the prose you may guess that Travis wrote this, rather than his lovely companion. If you do, you will be correct.)

Climbing is my passion. I have some plans for the summer and they include the Northwest Regular Route on Half Dome. It was first climbed by Royal Robbins, Jerry Gallwas, and Mike Sherrick in 1957. (Royal Robbins:Spirit of the Age by Pat Ament is a good read.) Half Dome became so important to me when I dislocated my shoulder in July. Focusing on the rock gave me the mental and emotional strength to move through and beyond the injury. Anyway, every time I lace up my shoes, check my harness and chalk up I am doing it for Tis-sa-sak.
