I am
currently the Co-ordinator of the Mexican
Folk Dance Costume Project for
the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles.
We are collaborating
with several San Jose Meican folk dance groups to
create a book of costume
pattern and a core cirriculum that we can use
to give workshops in costume
making. We are always looking for more
participants. We have a
job opening for a pattern maker also.
If you are interested in finding out more about this project and/ or the pattern maker position email me taska@hbar.stanford.edu.
These are images of different Mexican folk dance costumes from Los Lupenos of San Jose. These are possible costumes we will use to create the patterns.
