Welcome

Ting Lin is a Ph.D. student in Prof. Jack W. Baker's research group in the Stanford University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Passionate about civil engineering, she is interested in improving hazard analysis and sustainable design for structures, incorporating elements from other fields into engineering, and integrating research and practice. Her current research focuses on earthquake ground motion selection methodology for structural dynamic analysis and building design codes.

Ting grew up in China, and went to high school in Singapore. She spent her undergraduate years in Hollister Hall, Rand Hall, and many other inspirational places at Cornell University, completing her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Honors and a concentration in Architecture. Before joining Stanford for graduate study in the Structural Engineering and Geomechanics program, she interned in a structural engineering consulting firm, Leslie E. Robertson Associates, in New York City.
