Christmas Meeting of German Economists Abroad

This two day conference takes place in Germany right before Christmas and gives a forum for Germany Economists to meet each other. The conference is hosted every year by a different German institution. The organizing committee is: Berthld Herrendorf (ASU), Volker Nocke (Oxford), Karl Schmedders (Zuerich), Holger Sieg (CMU), and Michele Tertilt (Stanford). In addition, every year we have a different local organizer. Below are links to the programs of all meetings.

Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics (SITE)

As part of the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Economics (SITE), we haved hosted several "Family Macro" conferences.

"Growth and Development: Micro and Macro Approaches." This segment was organized by Chris Udry (Yale), Matthias Doepke (Northwestern), and Ran Abramitzky, Seema Jayachandran, Pete Klenow, Aprajit Mahajan, and Michele Tertilt of Stanford University. The dates were August 13-15, 2009. Check out the Program.

"Family Behavior and the Aggregate Economy." This segment was organized by Jeremy Greenwood, Larry Jones, and Michele Tertilt. The dates were August 6-8, 2007. Check out the Program.

"The Nexus between Household Economics and the Macro Economy." This segment was organized by Jeremy Greenwood, Narayana Kocherlakota, Michele Tertilt, and Mark Wright. The dates were August 11-13, 2005. Check out the Program.
