Principal Investigator
David Paik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University. He did his doctoral work in biomedical informatics at Stanford focusing on computer aided interpretation of medical images including anatomic modeling, visualization and computer aided diagnosis. He is currently working on several major projects that focus on bringing a quantitative and principled approach to medical image analysis with the ultimate goal of integrating image-derived information with other biomedical information sources.

Jill Lin, PhD
SMIS Postdoctoral Scholar
Jill has a B.S. in Mathematics from University of Chicago, an M.S. in Epidemiology from Stanford and a Ph.D. in Biomedical and Health Informatics from University of Washington. She is currently working on a project in collaboration with Dean Felsher's laboratory where she is developing methods to quantitate and model tumor growth in murine models.

Jiantao Pu, PhD
Postdoctoral Scholar - Radiology
Jiantao Pu did his doctoral work at Peking University in P.R. China and a previous postdoctoral fellowship at Purdue University. His research interests lie in Medical Image Processing, Computer Graphics (real-time rendering, geometric processing, and animation), Computer Vision, Virtual Reality, and Human Computer Interaction. He is currently working on shape based modeling of thoracic structures in chest CT.

Arpit Aggarwal
Graduate Student - Computer Science
Arpit received his bachelor's degree in information technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology with work in bioinformatics, pattern recognition, data mining, computer graphics and image processing. He is currently working on shape analysis for improving computer aided detection of lung nodules in chest CT.

Graduate Student - Computer Science
Shradha received her bachelor's degree in information technology from G.G.S. Indraprastha University. She is working on her master's degree in computer science and is interested in computer graphics and image processing with an emphasis on medical imaging. She is currently working on image quantitation in molecular imaging.

Guanglei received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, China. He is now a PhD student in Biomedical Informatics program. His research interest is biomedical imaging informatics.
