Why I'm considered a "strange" person when I'm compared to the average person:
- I don't live check to check nor do I let money control my life. I buy what I want to buy, when I want to buy it. I go where I want to go, when I want to. Granted, I do not have what I would consider luxury tastes, that is, I travel all over the world, but in coach class. I don't have a huge house, but I have 3 bathrooms just for myself. I don't like a lot of bells and whistles because I don't like the upkeep that goes along with them.
- I am not in a rush 98% of the time. Granted, my job is not in the fast lane and the pay is only average, but I do have a good vacation schedule and generally I'm only required to work an eight hour day. When I bought my home I kept my commute short vice like many here in the Bay Area who commute several hours each day to and from work. (My job is one reason I got into stocks, I could make up for my lack of pay in a non-stressful job by investing and adding to my overall income. I would also be in more control of my overall life, that is, the investing aspect would be in my control, yes, I would have to devote specific time with regards to investing, but a lot of the time I spent investing could be done when I wanted to do it.)
- I believe no job is worth compromising my health, that is, I want a job where I have enough time to do the things I want to with my life which includes exercising and maintaining my health the best I can.
- I believe life is for living and doing the things you want to do, it's not for doing a lot of things you don't like to do or doing things that other people think you should like to do.
- I don't believe in "love" relationships unless they are "healthy" for both individuals.
- I believe in holding the government, businesses, and CEOs accountable for their actions and lies. Unlike the average US citizen who holds their friends, relatives, and children accountable, but let's politicians, businesses, and CEOs go on lying and lying and lying. For example, the politicians have been talking for decades about the US educational system and making it the best in the world, but have done nothing to achieve this goal. US citizens continue to support these politicians even after decades of their failures, US citizens even allow politicians today to talk about: "Let's forget about the past and concentrate on the future." To this I say, "Let's analyze the past, and not vote, when God wants me to vote, God will give me candidates to vote for."
