Scott Stocker has been leading the web team in the Office of University Communications since November 2002. He is responsible for a number of university-wide websites, including the main university homepage, Events at Stanford, Stanford News, Stanford on iTunes U and Stanford on YouTube. Scott also develops policies and strategies for Stanford's web content and provides editorial consultation with offices and departments interested in enhancing their web presence.

Scott has worked as a website developer and web application programmer at Stanford since 1993 for a number of university departments, including Overseas Studies, Highwire Press, the Stanford Learning Lab, and Stanford University Libraries. Prior to joining the staff of University Communications, he was the principal architect and programmer of CourseWork, a web-based course management tool used in hundreds of courses on campus.

Scott grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is a graduate of Stanford, and also earned his MA from Harvard University.
