Stanford University

Sam is a PhD candidate at the Electrical Engineering Department of Stanford University. His research interests include mobile augmented reality systems and mobile visual search applications. He currently works with the Image, Video and Multimedia Systems group lead by Prof. Bernd Girod.

Sam completed his M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering at the Institute of Electronics, National Chiao Tung University in 2003. In his graduate studies, he worked with Prof. Hsueh-Ming Hang in the area of error resilient video coders and scalable video coding algorithms. He earned his BS degree in Electronics Engineering at National Chiao Tung University, in 2001.
