Winalee
is a First
Degree Black Belt
Teacher and Trainer from Lansing, Michigan. She began her career in
the fitness industry in 1981. Since discovering Nia in 1991 she has
been passionately sharing Nia joy with others throughout the U.S.
and internationally. “Every little cell” in your body will be
inspired by Winalee’s radiance.
In 1983 Debbie
Rosas and Carlos Rosas took off their shoes, eliminated repetitive
jogging up and down, blended moves from the Martial Arts, Dance Arts,
and Healing Arts, added vocalizations and emotional expression and
created Nia. For the past twenty-five years people have been
transforming their bodies and lives with Nia in joyful and pleasurable
ways that follow the map of the body, what we call—The Body’s Way.
Fun, fluid and interactive, Nia creates an integrated and balanced
workout that turns working out into, “bodywork.” Treat yourself to an
invigorating, joy filled class and discover a mindful based fitness
technique that will leave you inspired and holistically connected with
your body. Join us for class and supportive & compassionate community
of Nia dancers

McGonigal suggests these meditations

Two years ago
my home community of Pixley experienced a great loss with the
passing of Albert Hui Dung Jr. Albert was a friend of my family for
many years and as I grew into adulthood, he was a friend to me.
Albert dreamt of
making Pixley a better, safer, healthier community; he encouraged
others to believe in that possibility. He lifted the spirits and
hopes of many for a better hometown, better opportunities, and a
better future.
This scholarship
is being offered as a way to provide support for young students in Pixley and continue Albert’s legacy.
