I am interested in computer architecture and VLSI design. I am currently working on Smart Memories project. The goal of the project is to design a reconfigurable chip multiprocessor architecture. While working on Smart Memories I spent a lot of time at Tensilica where I worked with Xtensa LX reconfigurable processor system.
I was born in the city of Kazan, Russia in 1974. After graduation from high school with silver medal I entered Physics Department of Kazan State University in 1992. In 1994 I transferred to the Department of Radio Engineering and Cybernetics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT or PhysTech), Moscow, Russia. I got my bachelor and master degrees in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In 1997 I joined MCST (acquired by Intel in 2004) where I worked on low power circuit design, cache memory design, and memory compilers.
In 1999 I started Ph.D. program at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University, Indiana, USA. In 2000 I transferred to Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, California where I am currently a Ph.D. candidate.
