I am a fourth year graduate student working with Nalini Ambady in the Interpersonal Perception and Communication Lab in the Psychology Department of Stanford University.

Before coming to Stanford I received an M.S. in psychology from Tufts University, where I am a doctoral candidate, and a B.A. in psychology with a minor in neuroscience from Syracuse University.

 Research

My research examines how social perception and cognition is grounded in bodily states, and conversely the role our body plays in perceiving and understanding others. More generally, I am interested in environmental influences on behavior, face and emotion perception, and how social judgments are made in the active perceiver. I am currently supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
