Torricelli's Law and Draining Pipes (Honors
Differential Equations)![]() Fall 2002: For the semester project in Honors Differential Equations, I worked with Brandon Luders on a project we developed dealing with applications of Torricelli's Law, which gives the rate that a liquid will drain from a container with a small hole. We developed an experimental setup and took data. In addition, we created a number of interesting systems of differential equations. I worked with the ACE Lab to develop the project into an apparatus for all differential equations classes at Georgia Tech. I presented this project at the 2003 Mu Alpha Theta National Convention.
