Reconstructing Multidimensional Signals from
Projections (Image Processing)![]() Fall 2005: The semester project for Image Processing was to reconstruct a 2-dimensional image from noisy 1-dimensional projections of the image at various angles. This is required in several medical imaging systems such as computed tomography (CAT scans) and positron emission tomography (PET scans). The reconstruction uses the inverse Radon transform and parameter optimization. I received the highest grade in the class of 44 students.
