My name is Steven Lansel, and I am a 2nd year PhD
student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. I am
working with Dave
Donoho and Tsachy
Weissman on denoising methods.
My research interests primarily are in digital
signal processing and information theory. I'm also interested
in machine learning, computer vision, and speech and image
recognition.
In 2005, I finished 3.5 years at the Georgia
Institute of Technology. There I received a MS and BS in
Electrical Engineering, BS in Applied Mathematics, and certificates
in Management and International Affairs.
I spent the summer traveling to 9 countries in Asia,
volunteering in Cambodia, and hiking part of the Appalachian Trail.
