To all Hoover Elementary Teachers
Dear Teachers,
You may have seen your students with small grey strips of paper that are tickets for the Walk-to-School Day-Week raffle. Students that use alternative transportation to school will get a raffle ticket every day they do that this week. Our exact definition is: Not ride the family car but walk, bike, skate, scooter, bus or carpool; a carpool has to have at least one member of another family; the 'Walking School Bus' also qualifies. The city gave me about 50 blinking lights, so there could be about two for each classroom.
We plan to have the drawing this Friday after recess (10:10). Could you please remind your students to write their name and room number on the tickets and put them in the raffle box in time? Susi Khosla or I will be at a table at Mr Cox's office with the box during the 9:50-10:10 recess every day this week, also dealing with students who did not get tickets; at other times the box will be in the office with Betty and Nancy.
Would you mind if I put the prizes in your mailboxes before lunch on Friday so you could hand them out at the end of school that day?
