NEXT YEAR'S TRAFFIC

We hope that you will not have forgotten our traffic rules when you return to Hoover next year. If you don't pick up or drop off your child(ren) yourself, please make sure that the parties that do (nannies, grandparents) know our rules.

In the loading zone, increase capacity:
1. stay with your car (no parking at drop-off and pick-up time);
2. always pull forward as far as you can, keep moving forward as space opens up (also when exiting);
3. be ready to load and unload quickly.

• Don't let children (or adults) step in or out of your car in the middle lane.
• Cars shouldn't stop on the crosswalks.
• On foot or with a bike, cross the street only at the crosswalks.

The first days of school are going to be difficult trafficwise. If you want to bring your child(ren) to their classroom please consider parking in Mitchell Park (the weather will be fine) or check out other parking around Hoover beforehand. Walking, biking or carpooling would be even better.
We hope to have traffic safety patrol out to help new parents and correct those returning parents that don't have time to read or follow the rules.
