Amaryllis - Hippeastrum

Order: Asparagales
Family: Amaryllidaceae
Genus: Hippeastrum

Crazily enough, the flowers typically called amaryllis in the US are not actually amaryllis. They are in the genus Hippeastrum.

On the other hand, the flowers typically called "naked ladies" are in the genus Amaryllis. Most famously these include Belladonna.
