March 30, 2012 - Arrive Hobart, rent car at airport, head into town and walk around Salamanca, get ice cream, stay at Jo Larke's
March 31, 2012 - Bonorong Wildlife Park (devils, kangaroos, wallabies, tawny frogmouth, pheasants), lunch at craft markey, MONA (Museum of Old and New Art), stop on the way back to Hobart to take pix of black swans. Dinner with Jo at her house.
April 1, 2012 - Tasman Peninsula with Jo, Tesselated pavements, blow-hole, lunch on Pirates Bay Beach
April 2, 2012 - Hobart to Coles Bay, meet Kip, red rock beach (red anemones) Hike up to Wineglass Bay lookout and down to Wineglass Bay, Dinner in Coles Bay, stay with Michael
April 3, 2012 - Coles Bay to Launceston: Freycinet Lighthouse, Friendly Beaches (oyster catchers), East Coast Natureworld Animal Preserve (north of Bicheno) - devils, macropodia, Stay with Tiga
April 4, 2012 - Spent the Day with Kate and Daniel - search for platypus (unsuccessful) lots of interesting fungi
April 5, 2012 - Drive to Cradle Mountain, Honey Museum, Marakoopa Cave with formations and glow worms (Mole Creek Caves), hang out with wombats near my cabin till dusk, stay in Park. Possoms and pademelons at night.
April 6, 2012 - Hike around Dove Lake, up to Marion's Lookout, onto Kitchen hut, drive back to Hobart, stay at Jo's.
April 7, 2012 - Airport, drop off car, Hobart to Sydney, then on to US flight to LAX. Plane diverted to Honolulu to arrest passenger. Arrive in Los Angeles in time to catch flight to SFO.
