Hello everyone. IIT Guwahati held its annual techno-mangement festival Techniche from the 3rd Sept. to the 5th Sept. 2004. The fest had an online event by the name of DigiSim. We two, Siddharth & Abhishek, formed a team by the name of THOKas (Thinking Heads Of Kharagpur, as we E & ECE students are infamously known in Kharagpur) and participated in the event.

DigiSim started some days before Techniche actually began. DigiSim was held in two phases, each of two days duration. The first phase was from 00.00 hrs., 31st August to 23.55 hrs., 1st September. The second phase was from 00.00 hrs., 2nd September to 23.55 hrs., 3rd September. In each phase problems were declared on the site at the start time. We had to make digital electronic circuits on Circuitmaker (Student Version) and submit via mail to the organisers.

The problems and their solutions are grouped according to the phases as follows:

The circuits were evaluated on the basis of the following points:
1. The quality of output and clock cycles taken.
2. Number of IC's used.
3. Number of submissions.
4. Time of submissions.

The first phase took 8 hours to work out while the second phase took about 10 hours to work out. Our team was adjudged 3rd in the first phase and 2nd in the second phase. The results can be checked here:
