How To Calculate Your Grade Point
Average (GPA)

1. Make sure you have all of the grades for
all of your classes.

2. Look at the chart below:

  Grade  Value
 A+  4.33
 A  4.00
 A-  3.67
 B+  3.33
 B  3.00
 B-  2.67
 C+   2.33
 C  2.00
 C-  1.67
 D  1.00
 F  0

3. Add up the grades you have in your classes

(do NOT count non-academic classes like PE, Computers, or Electives)

Example:
Science = D = 1.00
Math = B- = 2.67
Social Studies = A = 4.00
+ Language Arts = C = 2.00
_______________________
Grade Total = 9.67

4. Then divide the Grade Total by the total
number of classes you have.

Example:
9.67/4 = 2.4175

5. Round the number to the nearest hundreths place
and that is your GPA.
Example: 2.4175 rounded = 2.42
